Our Story

In 2017 I made a surprise visit to Majorca to visit my 2 daughters who were on holiday with my Mum & Dad, whilst enjoying the sun around the pool I noticed a few moles on my Mum’s back and leg that didn’t look right, Mum said they had been like it for a while and promised to get them checked out once she returned home.

After a biopsy it was confirmed that Mum had Melanoma Skin Cancer, I immediately started trying to source good quality high strength CBD which at the time was around £160 for a 15% oil in the UK.

Seeing how the product helped with Mum’s anxiety and how one of her BCC’s was reduced so much by the oil and CBD balm that the specialist had to use a microscope to find it during a consultation, this gave me the drive to learn more about the use of cannabinoids as an alternative medicine and how I could help more people get better. In July 2018 I opened Redcar CBD Shop.

I studied Medical Cannabis and CBD and qualified with a distinction, which then led me to study as a herbalist, finding out about other natural plants, herbs, fungi and seaweed and how they have been used for thousands of years to heal most diseases and illness again qualifying as a Master Herbalist with a distinction. I couldn’t get enough of the information and continued to qualify as an Advanced Master Herbalist in 2021.

In March 2020 Kethalecanna was born, with the mission to bring high quality CBD at a price that was accessible to everyone, fast-forward 18 months and we are now one of the most trusted brands in the UK, stocked at over 4000 physical and online stores!
